Ended up selling the RZR instead of trading it in and now I put the H2 purchase on hold.
Reading the most common issues of axles popping out and clutches exploding and belts breaking.
Aftermarket parts already made to strengthen the clutch towers and better belts.
Circlip too small for holding in axles.
I have confidence that Kawi will make it right.

Also these don't seem to be flying off show room floors and I've been getting better prices as time goes on.

I’m curious if a recall will get issued for clutches. When Polaris was having clutches coming apart on the XP Pro, they got forced into a recall pretty early on, but I also think Polaris owners know the drill and who to contact to get pressure on Polaris.

I’ve asked two people who have had clutch issues if they contacted Kawasaki directly, or have they filed a complaint with NHTSA as if they get several complaints they will open an investigation and they can force a manufacturer recall. Both cases they said No, but the dealer fixed it under warranty. Problem is that will not force a recall unless they get complaints, a lawyer calls or a case is opened.

I too think that maybe sales are less than they hoped for, and I think Kawi is going to have to offer rebates or special financing to entice buyers away from Polaris & Can Am. Then again we don’t know what Kawi’s market share goal is? Maybe getting 10-15% of the sport market what they are shooting for with a new machine. It’s odd as this is a true west coast desert machine, but I think Kawasaki sales have been better in the mid west and east. And maybe why it seems the H2 is more popular back there. I know Chupacabra has one and has been trying to promote it as a West Coast machine.

I assume everyone is having good luck with their H2?.
Post up some likes and dislikes.

The only major issues that seem to be happening is the clutches are failing and some are catastrophic, causing enough damage to the vehicle that Kawasaki has bought the vehicle back and replaced it with a new unit.

The other issues seem to be the front axles are popping out which looks due to a to small c-clip on the end of the axle. So that should be an easy fix for Kawi.

The front dif seal behind the axle has been known to leak on many units, but who knows if that’s because the axles are popping out or trying to and damaging the seal.

Lastly several are breaking both front & rear axles, but who knows how the car is being used when they broke. One, it could be that Kawi’s over built axles for the KRX are not strong enough for the H2 hp power and they actually need to make them stronger? Or are people trying to use the H2 like the KRX for rock or hill climbing? The H2 was designed to be an open desert high speed & suspension machine. The people back east using these to climb rocks and wet mud hills are probably trying to use the wrong machine for the job they want to do. This is not a KRX, which is better suited for that with the lower HP, wet clutch and low rock crawl power mode. I question if those type of owners really understand what the H2 is built for and they are just used to mashing the gas, spinning the tires and climbing the obstacles. Doing that with 250hp is going to break axles, and eventually transmissions and difs.

I just went over the break in period of 250 miles. We rode in Kanab which is ideal for this machine and it was all smiles from me. It’s a rocket. Love the flutter. It showed very well with the group of Speeds, RZR S, and Pro R. I think once people see how good of machine this is it will get very popular. I honestly think nothing is really selling at least here in Utah so it is hard to guage. So far I have no regrets moving away from Polaris (after 5 RZRs).
A couple things with the clutch:
1 - I am running the KWI clutch designed for the dealer I got mine at and I think it makes a huge difference. It feels dialed in for the riding we did in the high desert (5500ft).
2 - I was told that I could get the low end I need by adjusting the weights on the KWI clutch and change to a KRX belt. This is suppose to change the power engagement from 4500 rpm where I am at now to 1500 rpm for crawling. This is yet to be tested but I will let you know after our next Moab trip.
Summary…It’s a bad ass car. Loving every minute of it.

My supercharger lost a bearing and toasted it and filled the motor with aluminum filings waiting to see if I get a new motor without any problems

Welcome to the forum.

Bummer, sorry to hear. I think this is the first time hearing this about the Super Charger failing. How many miles do you have on it.

I can tell you the KWI clutch weights make a huge difference in throttle response and power delivery. Toole Motorsports puts the weights in the H2s they sell.

The KWI clutch weights felt like it woke up my H2.

While running at the dunes with just 400 miles on the H2 I noticed oil dripping from the front diff. Appeared to be coming from the passenger side seal at the axle connection. Took it to the dealer and they confirmed that it looks like a seal issue but when they contacted Kawasaki for warranty they were told not to work on it until the primary clutch (stop ride) issue is solved. Only other issue I have had is smelling gas in the cab. Dealer could not determine source. Don't smell at idle but once moving along at 30mph or higher it is very noticeable. Wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

I was going to take my H2 to the dealer and holding off until the clutch issue is resolved. Gas smell could be from the vent line and where ever it is routed.
