Garmin Tread

One of the features I have been most excited to figure out is the Garmin Tread. I have been a life long RZR owner and thought the Polaris tech has been outdated for a while but I am going to miss group rides being that most of my riding group are RZRs.

Does anyone know of any good resources to figure out features of the tread? Like how to connect devices and what devices can connect for a group ride? Also, I would like to save my trails like in ride command. Do I need a subscription to do so? Trying to figure out a cost effective device I can put in a RZR (my other car) to use to add group rides.

Just haven’t seen a lot of knowledge online anywhere. If you know of one please share.

I don’t know the Garmin Tread. But I’m told there is a Garmin group ride option, but they have to be using the Garmin Tread. I wonder if you can add apps to the Garmin or Bluetooth from your phone the Polaris ride command app to the Tread? Then you could still use the Ride Command and see your friends while using the Garmin?

there is a way to unlock the garmin and run whatever apps you want to, try searching it on you tube. I cant remember who it was,

Thanks for the heads up. I will look into jailbreaking the tread.

Just learned Garmin has a power switch in which you can run up to 6 accessories from the Tread or app on your phone.

Wish Garmin and Polaris could workout a deal so they could be compatible for the group ride feature. It is great when you have a group that gets spread out to avoid dust.

The Garmin Power Switch is cool and you can link several together if you need more than 6 switches.

As far as the Polaris Ride Command, I think you can add apps to the Garmin and if I’m correct you could add the Polaris Ride Command app, like you can to your phone.

Can you screen share on the Garmin Tread? If so many run the app from your phone to the Garmin? That’s could be another option.

Btw would have been cool of the H2 had reverse tail lights, as you could have tapped in to it and powered the Garmin back up camera and that would have triggered it to turn on the screen, just by putting the car in reverse.

Still looking how to jail break the Garmin but I went out a couple weeks ago and didn’t really miss ride command much so we will see.
Have you installed the Garmin back up camera? Where did you get the power from? I tried the the existing Kawai back up camera connection with no success.
