I've seen similar sales here in AZ. One is the same business that I have been working with on the H2. Kawasaki lets them subtract a $5000 trade in off the msrp.
I was offered $5000 for my trade and kawasaki adds $2500 on top of that.
They said it's legal to advertise like that even though it's not really on sale.

Problem is the deals Kawi is offering is on trade ins. What if you have nothing to trade in? What if your keeping what you have, or never had a UTV, or know you can get allot more then the few grand the dealer is offering on top of the few grand Kawi is offering. You will always do better selling private party vs what a dealer will offer, and that dealer will really low ball it, knowing your getting a manufacturer trade in rebate.
If they want to attract buyers Kawasaki needs to do what Polaris & Can Am do with offering a rebate or low financing. If the dealer is looking for used trade ins, let that be at the dealer level, not at a manufacturer level. It’s not like Kawasaki is doing something with the trade ins.
Also I think Kawasaki has to figure out how to lower the destination charges. $2400 is way too high and then they put it on the dealers to lower in negotiations, which is harder on the dealers.
I also think the Kawi H2 is priced too high right now with the known issues, lack of track record in the category and with the competitions offerings. I get they can’t go back and lower the MSRP as that would look bad, but if they could have come in with an intro price of $34,999 for the base and kept the top trim right at $39,999. The perception of being under $40K would be very attractive to those new buyers, or to get other brand loyal buyers to look at it. Then once proven in the market, and as interest & demand has increased, you can come back the following year and offer new colors & graphics, and increase the price $1500-$2000.
