What size is the bolt that is needed to change the belt? I would have thought that it would have come with the car, but the dealer said that it didn't. Does anybody know the size?

I agree it’s stupid the car does not come with a small tool kit that has the tool to change a belt.

I also read the online owners manual and it does not even show you how to change a belt. It’s like they just skipped that part or were not ready to publish it? Pretty stupid & lame that don’t give you the CVT bolt to remove a belt or instructions on how to do it.

Well I found out that it is a 17mm fine thread bolt. 3-4” long. Whatever fine thread is.

I called the dealer that I bought the car from. Think I’m getting both to be safe

It’s sad Kawasaki does not supply the tool/bolt to release the secondary to change the belt. I mean really how much does a bolt cost? And more sad it’s not listed or shown in the owners manual online. How did they miss one of the most important & basic functions, changing a belt? And worse they have not shown or told the dealers what size bolt is needed, as it still seems unknown. One says 10mm, another is told 17mm.

Here is a video with a cheat to use a bolt found on the car that can be used to loosen up the secondary clutch.
