Front axle issue?

I’ve read about the front axle popping out issue (too small snap ring?) and I’m wondering what the trail side repair entails to get back to camp/ home?

Just push it back in? Don’t run in 4x? Tools needed?

Or?

Push it back in is the trail side fix as long as the axle does not break.

I checked mine the other day and they seem to be fine. I talked to an owner that had an axle pop out and Kawi ended up putting a shim on the hub side to tighten it up. I think when his popped out he damaged the front diff. Kawi replaced the axle and front diff.
