Think I will stick with my Tapp setup, but wondering if the guards inside the cover will help with not destroying the cover every time a belt breaks. Also wondering if it will interfere with the tapp clutches
I used the RPM fan not the razorback. The razorback is same diameter as the intake tube where the rpm is much larger allowing air at high speeds to funnel around the fan and not just through it . It is half the price as well. I didn't feel that it hurt at high speeds at all and love how it...
So I got a chance to test out tapp primary and secondary this weekend in glamis with 100 degree temps. I also installed the RPM blower fan and razorback temp guage. Some interesting results. Belt temps when just cruising around through smaller dunes and hard pack were avg 145. The highest temps...
Been there done that already. Inner and out covers at the same time plus belt is not cheap. I have high hopes for the primary and secondary with the rpm fan. I know some are skeptical on the fan, but I've had one on my last 2 machines and it did make a difference
I will be in glamis this weekend. Temperature supposed to be high 90s. I will be testing tapp primary and secondary g boost belt with razorback temp guage. I am also trying the rpm inlet fan to see how that helps or hurts. Will report back during the weekend my findings.
Ya your right thats were i saw it. Not kidding that is a game changer. Sorry but Im not trying to jack up a trailing arm in the dunes. I had the cover on and off about 5 times today and it couldn't of been any easier.
Ya I did the light lapping as well, and thoroughly cleaned the shaft and primary. Not sure why it keeps backing off a bit. Also installed razorback gauge. Going to glamis next weekend supposed to be hot so it will be interesting to check actual belt temps
Also wanted to add i took the advice from a post I had read and removed the snorkel that attaches to inner cvt cover. Siliconed the gaskets in place and without using the inner screw just the 1 on each end it can be removed in under a minute. This allows the cover even with the evo adapter to...
