Was wondering about others experience with the $1000 rebate. I heard someone say they were able to purchase whatever they wanted with it. The dealer that I scheduled my appt with stated kawasaki parts only. Since I don't need any kawi parts I cancelled my appt. Anyone have any experience with a so cal dealer that will let you order what you want?

I had my appt with Coyne who said they would only order genuine kawi parts with the credit

I am not a fan of Coyne. I will say the El Centro location service department is great if you are in a pinch and need something fixed during a long trip a Glamis.
 
Ya I didn't buy from coyne or ever use them but its an hour closer than del amo motorsports where I bought it. I called them today and they told me the same thing. Kawi parts only unfortunately

You might know this already but that tank will not work if you have a dual battery setup. For myself I made the decision I would much rather have a secondary battery for reliability.
 
Same here jump box on board. I also do some overnight destination group rides and am not a fan of transporting spare fuel.
 
I also switched out the factory agm battery for a lithium. Does the job of 4 agms with one battery, last 5 times as long, is much lighter, and cost a third of the dual battery setup
 
All good guys we have our own setups. I use lithium on my dirt bikes but not on this rig. You might find out down the road that lithium and the Kawasaki H2 electronics do not mix. The CAN bus controller network on a rig like the H2 makes a lithium a no go for me. Even with a BMS on the battery I would not recommend them.

I'm running 3 Lithiums right now on my Betas and Yamaha. Very reliable when not running a CAN bus.

As far as the aux tank I'm going with the 5 gallon Armadillo bag. Just last week I put to use my 1 gallon fuel sack on my 2T 300 and it worked flawlessly. The 5 gal version straps in perfectly in any seat. I don't have a family so it's the right choice for my use. not to mention you can buy four 5 gallon Armadillo bags for the price of one RPM aux tank.

My rigs theme is reliability as well as function.

Which lithium battery did you purchase?

If I could use my rebate for the RPM tank I would do that too.

I used TYkOOL if you contact them they will let you know what battery size, voltage, etc matches up without issues with the stock electronics. Did you get yours back from dealer yet?

Not yet. They have the recall parts just waiting on the tech to dig into a few other warranty items that were damaged when a belt went through the clutch cover. It ripped the wire connector to the voltage regulator so the connector no longer locks in place. It also ripped the skid plate off one of the bolts holding it in place. Hopefully they can get the connector and not have to replace that section of the wiring harness. My guess is it will be a few more weeks before I get my car back.

Del Amo has been really good to me.
 
Battery experts, The H2 does not have an alternator let alone a smart one. So does the Li batteries BMS set the charge rate? Is there enough output from the stock setup? How will it charge in the freezing weather? Will it have to be inside during extreme cold? It does not look like there is much room to install a larger Odyssey like I did on my Canned Ham. Getting more power out of the same size package would be cool. But I have not had luck on Li as a starting/winching battery. Everything else they are pretty sweet.
 
Not sure about cold weather i am in Southern California. 108 today. I don't do much if any cold weather stuff, but when I have it had no effect on my old Turbo S for 5 years with the lithium
