Clutch cover with recall shield

I like it because its slightly shorter than the evo one I believe and doesn't give that shudder in high gear takeoff with 4 passengers like the longer evo one
That is strange. Mine has never shuddered even with 4 grown adults. I'm running the stock belt and clutch.

The Badass XC belt everyone is selling is a KRX length belt, it's about an inch longer which will give you around 5% reduction but the problem is the stock secondary will not close far enough to keep constant tension on the belt, on most machines the secondary is fully closed with the KRX length belt, this can cause shutter on some machines especially with a heavier load.
We modify the secondary to close further and keep constant tension on the longer belts, we can even run the much longer ProR belt for 15% reduction however because of the diameter of the secondary it runs really high but thus far has not been a problem on the machines we have been testing it on.

I am using a tapp primary and secondary with this belt not the stock secondary

Ok. Im over the Hannibal lector cage debate.
No debate whatsoever. I'm pointing out the advantages of something that is designed to save parts damage in the rare event of a failure. I do understand and have empathy to your plight. I also respect the perspective of others who are unwilling to even slightly struggle with a maintenance or repair. I'm always looking for a solution to keeping my off road vehicles as simple and reliable as possible along with keeping them as intended by the manufacturer.

I wonder how reliable the Badass belt is compared to OEM? According to my parts guy they don't even carry them because of the reliability issue in comparison to stock.

I paid around 175.00 for my spare OEM belt.

I wonder if it's a simple tuning issue that can fix the shutter. Lighter spring on secondary?
Probably not, the secondary can only close so much without modification, if it's fully closed the spring is no longer applying tension to the belt, the belt should have very little to no deflection,

I have not tested the TAPP clutches but if you're getting shutter with the longer belt the same holds true, the secondary is fully closed and not keeping tension on the belt.
Was only getting the shudder with the regular bad ass belt that evo sells. Not sure but maybe it is a bit longer or narrower than this other one I went to. The shudder was completely eliminated with the switch. It wasn't that bad but when loaded up with full gear, Gas, and 4 passengers it was a slight shudder on takeoff in high gear. All good and gone now
