Bummer. Do you know what caused the upper radius rod to bend? Did you land off camber from a jump or slid into a corner? You typically don’t see an upper fail and it’s the lowers that strike objects. I wonder if the greatest load is put on the upper rod. Could be a suspension geometry issue?
I have not seen the aftermarket jumping on radios rods yet. But I bet they will be.
Also I would file a complaint and request Kawasaki refund you one months payment on the vehicle you can’t use but have to make a monthly payment on. 5 weeks for a radius rod is unacceptable. They are required to be building & stocking inventory. So the excuse we don’t have a simple radius rod is inexcusable.
Polaris did this same thing and ultimately had to not only pay people back, for loss of use, they gave settlement checks out. They started requesting people file the loss of use directly with Polaris as they were paying the customer and a legal fee for those who were using attorneys. (This was during the XP Pro clutch failures and stop ride recalls for the fuel pump). My friend got a check for $3,500 from Polaris. Some others was as much as $5,000.
