I’m looking to lower my engagement by changing the primary spring (green).

Since I’ve never done this, I have some Qs.

1st: Does the clutch need to come off to change the spring?

I saw a YT vid where I guy changed a spring on a snowmobile by holding it on with one hand while removing the last bolt. Wasn’t a TAPP though.

2nd: If the primary needs to come off, I presume I’ll need to use the TAPP (or equivalent) primary base tool to remove the cover?

3rd: Or could I remove the primary bolt, thread the removal tool in with whatever sockets/washers I’d need to use as spacers to hold the cover and remove the cover bolts and spring?

New primary bolt required?

TIA

You can remove the cover without removing primary. Put some pressure on it as you remove the bolts holding it on. Has some tension on it but nothing crazy

The spring will be directly behind the cover. Easy swap
