TERYX H2 RECALL OFFICIAL

I agree the clutches are junk, I had H2 clutches torn apart before the H2 was released and knew then it was a piece of crap and had serious doubts it would hold up and yes, the "fix" is a band aid, I'm running a billet KWI primary and secondary and I don't power brake it but that's not saying someone else may not, just saying the other manufactures limit power when 2 footing and Kawi is just following suite. I wonder if they are going to reduce the speed limiter as well cause it's currently set at 500 mph LOL
This is why they shouldn't have a one size fits all remedy. They should have allowed a cash rebate of equivalent value for those of us that did our own clutch work via the aftermarket, among other options

My service advisor told me today that any aftermarket ecu flash will get written over, before it's reheat back, so if it was flashed by an aftermarket dealer it'll have to go back to the them. But what a hassle for those that have.

I haven't did any power mods beside the clutch and still not sure if I will. I am not having mine reflashed until I get some reliable reports that it didn't cut peak power. I found a few people post today that their machines will have the recall fix this week. So we should know something by then.

There were only 19 documented failures. How many of those were idiots? I suppose the answer is somewhere between 0-19.

Kawasaki clearly knows this isn't the issue. This is poor materials, poor manugacturing and wormanship, and lack of testing. I personlly witnessed a nickel sized chip come right out of my clutch and then decided I had enough and bought the Tapp.....no problems since, same driving habits......funny how that works.

I've watched countless videos running aftermarket clutches for 90 days and ripping their machines like the Kawasaki promo videos with no issues. Their isn't a power braking issue or an idiot issue, there's a shitty clutch issue.

You yourself have documented the problems with the clutch. Are you an idiot? Or did you just figure out they builtt a POS clutch?

This ECU reflash and that chintzy little guard and the rectifier cover plate are just corporate hacks and dumb engineers listening to the the nanny state lawyers tell them they have to do stooopid shit now cause they did it wrong the first time. Fer crissakes, this whole mess is laughable.
Can you please give it a break already? Really is a bummer to listen to all this doom and gloom nonsense. For the average driver like myself this is going to be more than a sufficient fix.

If I want something better then the aftermarket such as Cornell Customs has us covered. I for one am very appreciative that aftermarket companies are testing these beyond the parameters of the average driver.

The only issue I have with the KIWI is the cost (of aftermarket clutch). OTOH we are paying not only for the cost of production but all the R&D and extensive testing.

Before this stop sale went into effect and during the rollout this rig was beat upon by Jeremy McGrath and other pro drivers here in Lucern. During the demos all the pre production rigs held up great to the abuse of the "nuts behind the wheel". The testing was very extensive and well thought out.

There was a defective drive pulley cage manufactured during production. We are not even sure how many are defective. Kawasaki is not taking chances and replacing all of them and adding a scatter shield just in case.

I'm so confident that I'm purchasing one of these in the heat of the summer. It will have the KPP warranty which in my experience is one of the best in the industry.

How about that new 327 2T that is coming out!! LOL

Best thing to do (if you want to retain your warranty) is purchase an additional ECU and have it flashed. You can then put your OEM one back for any warranty or service work. Companies like 2 Wheel Dynoworks will actually flash back to stock. It's not that much of a hassle.

A bot without a car, 0 fucking hours behind the wheel, and is personal friends with Jeremy McGrath now knows more than everyone else thats $50k and 9 months in this turd!

By the way the aftermarket clutch companies also did not do enough testing. Everyone of them have had design changes made post sales made to customers. Customers are out the time and money to make those changes too. The whole thing has been a debacle. No amount of bots scraping the interwebs and posting cobbled together bullshit data will assist any current owners.

Where the heck are you getting this from? Your prerogative if you want to believe that troll from the Polaris forum. I actually have a deposit on this SXS and am patiently waiting. I just got back from UT a few months back and busted my butt fitting my trailer. Here is my Beta and trailer ready for my SXS. Only bummer is I can't fit both as my trailer is only 18'. The H2 and a dirt bike will fit in a 18' trailer unless you have a huge work bench up front. I have a 18' foot trailer and fit my H2, my kids 450 dirt bike and a 58 gallon Vevor fuel tank on it.

This is why I did not jump on an aftermarket clutch. I wanted to see people using them and make sure it fixes the belt life issue. I think KWI is the only one that did testing prior to releasing it to the public. From what I understand KWI has more stuff coming to help with cooling the clutches.
