Hi, Jay here - just picked up our Teryx5 H2 - located in Denver, CO. Excited to hit a few trails this weekend over the holiday and get some miles done towards our break-in period. I'll post up some pics once we get back. Excited to be a contributing member of the fourm.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the site, you are one of the first owners on the site! Thank you for being a member @ArcherJay -- can't wait to see the pics!

Welcome to the forum @ArcherJay - Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the new machine!

That was quick! Congrats on one of the first H2s and welcome to the forum! We are anxious for updates, so let us know your thoughts after you've had some time with it.

We loaded up the H2 from the dealer on Saturday - last ones at the shop. Got thru all the paperwork BS and of course, the parts guy wants to show you EVERY-SINGLE-THING in the Kawi site for it - most of which is still unknown arrival times. I ordered a windshield, be here in 2 weeks....spare tire and carrier too - of course, buy it all and see how it looks when it arrives. My mindset was more like "OK, toss some goodies on the loan and let's GTFO and go play!

We got the rig loaded up and the check engine light lit right up...just as we were climing the trailer ramp. Damn! Sales guy was like - just run it over the weekend, enjoy the holday and come back Tues...I mean, it was almost 2hours after closing...on a Holiday weekend. Which I totally felt guilty knowing all the staff was like - damn excited to see it go...end the month on a high note for them/sales #'s and such...but they'd stay late all the time. G-Force in Denver is really great!

Left early Sunday, beat traffic westbound out of Denver and headed up to Webster Pass...fairly tame trail - but amazing views. If you're not aware of the area - it's right next to Red Cone - which is a really tough and rocky 4x4 trail that ends with a stupid-steep, almost death-defyiing ~1100' decent to Webster Pass in the saddle between the peaks. Really great riding area.

First impressions.. the rig was a gutless wonder...wound't move over 20 mph, tried low/high - nothing...just pegged at 5k rpms- of course...the CEL is still lit up. Definitely questioning all my life decisions at this point - thinking did we get a dud of a rig? I Knew I should've got the RZR ProR...which was my main goal going in - had done a TON of research and was sold...the sales guy threw me a curveball with the H2 - saying they just unpacked it...so of course, great - drawn to a NEW toy...and I'm like yeah - love it at first site.

Long story short...got the whole family and the dog loaded up - 5seat is FANTASTIC! Bunch of RZR Pro S and XP's all over - everyone asking about it on the trails...and I'm like, yeah it's fantastic...but thinking in my head something is WAY off with this thing. Also the stock stereo is shit...not gonna lie. It's getting ripped out first chance I get and a real amp and sub are going in.

Overall - spent the day, taking it easy - thinking it's a forced slow break-in period from Kawasaki. Either way, we had a great day with the fam - low range grunt is great, tested all the stuff n things - suspension is INSANE! Went up Radical Hill in 4L like it was cake...of course, at 5k everything is slow-mo. Made it onto the flat-tops above Keystone / Montezuma and just enjoyed the day drivig it around...really slow.

On Tuesday - took it in to GForce, and the guys got it hooked up to their system...of course - it's got a factory-LOCKED ECU! Like seriously, WTH? They were so excited to get it out of the crate - they didn't think to unlock the software during set-up...must be a theft prevention thing! Total relief - of all the thoughts that we smoked the belt on our first day out, total dud of a machine and - 55 miles of super slow fun...you can imagine the overwhelming sense of relief when the svc guy called and said - sorry bro, come pick up your rocket...she's ready!

Can't wait to hit some trails next weekend- We did get some drone footage, and the obligatory 'new-rig' pics. I'll work on getting them uploaded soon! Can't wait to get this thing ripping up the hills!

Wow, what a story and a trip.... I didn't know they had a locked ECU, that's interesting, never heard of that! I'm glad it was something simple and hopefully your next outing is trouble free!

Just made our first YouTube....ever :) Figured I'd post it here - or make a new thread about our H2? Not sure...never done this before.

Here's the link.

Man that trail looks awesome, neat drone footage. Thank you for the post!

Awesome drone video! Such a bummer that the ECU was locked for your big trip. The silver lining is that now you've gotten some slow-speed break-in miles on it. I bet it's a night-and-day difference. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on how it performs now that you have 100% power.
